THE THREE STAR
The ships of any long-range emigration fleet will need repair eventually, and that is where the Three Star comes in. Based on the Protoculture factory satellite that was discovered in 2011, the Three Star factory ship is a mining facility, construction yard, and repair depot all in one.
The Three Star is capable of capturing asteroids and other objects in space which contain metal. The metal is then extracted and processed in the interior of the ship. The ship is a complete factory in itself and is capable of producing ships up to the size of Battle 7, though of course larger ships take more time and material. This in fact does happen when Battle 7 is destroyed in the last battle with Gepernitch, and through to the Dynamite OVAs a year later, a new Battle 7 was being constructed. The Three Star also manufactures VF fighters, computer parts, and other technological devices.
The 1,000+ crew of the Three Star is composed of engineers, technicians, and other trained staff. They are assisted by UN Spacy computer manufacturing software, and also communicate with other factory ships across the galaxy as well as with Earth. This allows all fleets to keep their factory equipment up to date and keep abreast of any technological developments.
The Three Star is defended by a group of Northampton Stealth Frigates, and can attach to one stealth frigate for flight if necessary. Operation Stargazer departed for the Varauta system in one of these stealth frigates.
