Voldick and Matthews are the two new rookie pilots assigned to Docker's command after Emerald Force is formed. They appear very little in the series, and when they do appear are always shown tagging after Docker. They obviously respect their commander, though teamwork in Emerald Force is never quite up to par with that of the old Diamond Force
Voldick and Matthews are killed on the fourth planet of the Varautan system while trying to enter the underground caves.
