THE REX GANG

They are the riders of the all-female motorcycle gang, riding the Milky Road on the edge of danger, delighting in the thrill of speed. The Rex Gang first met Fire Bomber under some very unusual circumstances. Trying to pick a fight with Basara and Mylene, the gang instead was surprised when Basara hopped onto a motorcycle belonging to gang member Colleen and started doing tricks.

Vowing to pay him back for the insult, Colleen and the others confronted Fire Bomber on the Milky Road on the way to a concert. At the concert, they began frightening the fans and telling Fire Bomber to give up. Instead, Basara told them to stay for a song and to see if they liked it. Before they could answer, however, the Varautan forces began attacking and Basara flew into the battle in his Valkyrie, with his singing projected on a screen onstage and the rest of Fire Bomber accompanying him. Impressed, the girls of the gang became Fire Bomber's and Basara's biggest fans.

 

REX

The beautiful leader of the Rex Gang is deeply respected by her suboordinates. Rex is the one who keeps the chattering and sometimes headstrong girls in line, making sure they stay safe while they ride the roads and that they don't get into too much trouble.

Rex is very impressed with Basara the first time she sees him perform in space and perhaps feels a little more for him than she should. When Mayor Milia Jenius decided to recruit for Valkryie pilots, Rex asked Basara to teach her how to fly a Valkyrie, and he willingly sat up all night with her teaching her the basics. This only caused her to fall further in love with him, and one night on the way to a concert, Rex was possessed by the Protodeviln Sivil, who was also obsessed with Basara. Sivil in Rex's body pushed through the crowds on her motorcycle, jumped onstage, and kissed Basara in front of the fans, to Mylene's disgust.

When Basara started singing, Sivil/Rex left the concert, but came back during the intermission, sneaking into Fire Bomber's trailer and attempting to coerce Basara into having sex with her. However the enemy attack alarm sounded before she could manage this. Frustrated, Sivil/Rex tried again after the concert, sneaking into Basara's apartment. Again, when he started singing to her, the anima spiritia in his voice caused her to run screaming out of the apartment and jump on her bike. As she rounded the corner, Sivil left Rex's body. Rex never remembers the events that happened while Sivil possessed her.

Rex's feelings for Basara are a source of constant frustration for her both emotionally and publically. One of the city tabloids acquired a photo of Rex, Basara, and Ray in the window of Basara's apartment and ran a story on Rex and Basara, with Ray edited out of the picture. This enraged the gang, but Rex handled it well, telling them it wasn't worth worrying over.

Rex knows her love for Basara wlll never be returned. They are far too different for anything to ever happen, and there are too many obstacles in the way: the war, Basara's attachment to his music, and perhaps a pink-haired bassist named Mylene Jenius. But Rex is content with being a good friend to Basara and Fire Bomber, ready to help them out whenever she and her gang can.
