MICHAEL

"Don't lose sight of Mylene-san!"

Position: Assistant to the mayor
Eyes: Brown
Hair: Blond
Seiyuu: Takehiro Murozono
First appearance: episode 2

Built like a wrestler, with good intentions that somehow never turn out right, Michael is the bumbling personal assistant to the mayor. He helps Milia with everything from filing her paperwork to giving her backrubs to standing guard outside her office. He's also somewhat of a snoop and a spy, reporting things to Milia that she wouldn't get from other more legal sources. However, his main duty seems to be following around Milia's headstrong daughter, Mylene.

Michael takes his duty very seriously and goes to great lengths to keep track of Mylene's whereabouts for the mayor, though he obviously enjoys looking at Mylene's figure through his spyglasses as well. Mylene refers to Michael and his two young tagalong assistants as "Mom's goons," but gradually learns to ignore their presence and even sometimes bullies Michael into doing what she wants. Of course, Michael does about just as well following Mylene's orders as he does Milia's...which is to say that no task she assigns him to is ever a success.

JANET

"I want to write the story about the real you."

Position: City 7 Tabloid Newspaper Reporter
Eyes: Green
Hair: Red
Seiyuu: Nagahori Miho
First appearance: episode 31

Janet is Michael's younger sister. As a reporter for the City 7 tabloid Galaxy Sport, she got her big break when her story about Nekki Basara's past ended up on the front page of the paper. Pleased at how many copies the tabloid had sold that week, the chief editor guaranteed her the front page every week if she would produce more stories about Basara, true or not. These stories, complete with edited pictures, drew more and more sales each time.

Determined to write the story which would place her in the annals of City 7 reporter history forever, Janet began spying on Basara and then rescued him from a group of overcurious reporters from other tabloids and newspapers. Learning through her activities that he would secretly visit the vegetation plant at night, she folllowed him.

However, she received the shock of her life when she arrived at her destination. Basara was singing to the Protodeviln Sivil, who hung suspended from the trees in a coma. Janet quickly overcame her surprise and started taking pictures. Gigil, who was hiding in the brush, became angry that Basara's song was not working and began hitting Basara, then threatened Janet's life. But Basara refused to give into violence and kept singing.

Touched by Basara's song, Janet quit her job as a tabloid reporter, saying she wanted to pursue "the real thing." The photos she took of Basara and Sivil she handed over to Akiko Lips, the producer of Fire Bomber, who then included them in a music video to Submarine Street, the song which Basara had sung to Sivil.
