After Gigil decided to desert Gepernitch's forces, Gabil and Grabil were appointed commander of the Varautan forces. Unlike Gigil, Gabil and Grabil were in their true Protodeviln (Evil) bodies and thus affected by anima spiritia. This led to Gabil inventing various devices to try to block anima spiritia, but all to no avail.
Gabil is obsessed with a warped kind of beauty, and constantly utters phrases such as "the beauty of destruction!" and the "the beauty of explosions!" He calls Grabil the "ultimate beauty," and together, they are a formidable pair. When he combines with Grabil to form Gabilula, his white wings form enlarged on Grabil's back. Gabil is completely loyal to Gepernitch, and will do anything in his power to help the Spiritia Dreaming come true. He also seems to be rivals with most of the other Protodeviln, but especially with Valgo.
Constantly foiled by Diamond Force's Gamlin Kizaki, Gabil has a personal vendetta against the pilot. He attempted to kill Gamlin on the fourth Varautan planet, but Gamlin managed to survive and stole an Elgarzorene fighter, draining Gabil's spiritia with the spiritia beam when Gabil tried to attack him again. As revenge, Gabil infiltrated Battle 7 and possessed Gamlin, then proceeded to start destroying the hangar bays of the ship one by one. When Sound Force tried to defeat him with anima spiritia, he captured Mylene Jenius' craft, intending to force Nekki Basara to surrender to him. However, Mylene foiled Gabil's plans by getting out of her battroid and singing to him. The anima spiritia at close contact finally force Gabil out of Gamlin's body.
When Gepernitch awoke and began draining the planet of spiritia, Gabil knew that something had gone wrong with the dream. He frantically begged Gepernitch to stop, but to no avail. Finally, as Basara sang, he also realized the true value of anima spiritia and followed Gepernitch away from the universe.
